Dan Bowden

Dan Bowden was a versatile guitarist, author, and longtime Berklee College of Music faculty member, known for his expertise in rock, jazz, blues, and R&B. A Berklee graduate, he taught guitar at the college from 1989 until his death in 2025, and authored more than a dozen instructional books, including Wes Montgomery: The Early Years and Mel Bay’s Complete Accompaniment Method for Guitar. For Berklee Online, he wrote the courses Acoustic Blues Guitar and Getting Your Guitar Sound.
