Gaye Tolan Hatfield

Gaye Tolan Hatfield is a professor in the Ear Training department at Berklee College of Music. She has contributed to various publications on music theory and aural skills. She has been nominated for six Emmy awards and in 2022 won the Daytime Emmy—along with Lydia Harrell, Jeff Meegan, and RC Cates—for Outstanding Original Song for a track titled “Grateful For It All,” which appeared in The Young and the Restless. For Berklee Online, she teaches Ear Training 2, which she wrote, and Music for Beginners, which she co-wrote.
